Yea. I'll leave the door unlocked, so you can come right in. Do you want anything to eat or anything?

Yes please.

[He's not hungry but he knows he should eat.]

Anything in particular you want?

....Do you want me to come get you?

[He can grab a cab and be there in a second. Because that short answer kind of makes him worry more than he already was.]

I can make it there. I promise. I'll explain when I get there.

For food I'll admit I won't be picky right now.

...Alright. Be safe, I'll see you when you get here.

[True to his word, he leaves the door unlocked and gets started on making a chicken alfredo dish. Nothing super fancy, really. But he figures it'll be something easy to get along with in all consideration.]

[Biffy does get there safely. Of course he still knocks on the door when he gets there before coming in. Just to be polite.]

Orion?

Yea, in here.

[Orion stirs the pasta again, continuuing to let it simmer. He wipes his forehead with the side of his wrist and wipes his hands on a towel before coming over to Biffy.

He sets a hand gently on Biffy's cheek, gently pushing strands of hair back.]

Are you okay?

I know so many of your memories have been difficult as well but this one...

[He closes his eyes to lean into the touch.]

...I remembered why I was made a werewolf.

[So Biffy wasn't born a werewolf in his previous life...

Orion leans in and gently pulls Biffy into a hug.]

Do you want to talk about it? Or do you just want to stay beside me for awhile? You can stay the night, if it helps.

[Biffy gets to make all the decisions in this. It's whatever makes him comfortable, and that will always come first.]

[Leaning into the hug, he breathes in Orion's scent. It's something that has been in his nose since the hallway but it doesn't compare to him right here in front of him.]

I...don't remember everything. All the details. I just remember being told that I had been dying. That becoming a werewolf was the only way to save me. Even though it was never what I wanted.

[He rests his head against Orion's shoulder.]

I just...don't know what to do with this memory.

[Never what he wanted? Biffy had lay dying, and he didn't get a say in his fate. If it had been Orion's call...

....If it had been Orion's decision, to choose werewolf or death for Biffy... It would be a sucky decision to have to make for sure, but...]

Maybe someone cared alot...

[The thought of someone else loving Biffy, someone that might come back for him... it's not a thought Orion's a fan of. But that's much less important than this, right here, right now.]

A life or death decision... it can't be easy. But if it were me, and you couldn't answer, I probably would have done the same.

[A pause. He wonders if that's something they should talk about, if there's an event in the future where Orion might have to choose life or death for Biffy... maybe they should sort that out. Maybe not now, but soon-ish. To abide to Biffy's wishes to the best of his ability.]

Maybe it's not much... but... I think someone would care if they were going to save you.

[dandyofawolf]

I don't even know who wanted to save me.

[Orion would want him to live instead of dying. Even if it meant something like that. He knows how deeply that means Orion cares for him. It doesn't help to lessen the confusion from the memory but at the same time it does help to know that his boyfriend cares so much.

His voice is quiet when he speaks again.]

You said...I can stay here tonight?

Yea, of course you can.

[He rubs Biffy's back with a hand and kisses the top of his head.

Keeping an arm wrapped around him, he gently tugs him to the kitchen so he can stir the pasta to keep it from burning. Then he promptly returns to properly cuddling Biffy.]

We can do whatever you want - stay up all night and talk, watch movies, or just settle down for the night.

[He nods and comes with him to the kitchen. The food smells good and he takes note of that. Even if he's not really that hungry at all.]

I should try to eat something first when the food is done.

[He knows better than to go without food just because of this.]

I...didn't bring any clothes. May I borrow some for the night?

Of course you can.

... The food'll be ready in a few more minutes, actually.

[Reluctantly, he lets go of Biffy so he can make sure nothing burns in the final stages of cooking. Poking things with food thermometers and the like.]

If you want to go get changed first, you're more than welcome to.

[Lightly, he pressed a kiss to his cheek then went to the bedroom so he could get changed. Usually he wasn't one for wearing sleep clothes so early but right now he was rather eager to have Orion's scent so close.

Going through his clothes he found a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt. The pants were long on him so he had to roll the bottoms up a bit but he knew he was at least with someone who wouldn't mind. With that, he went back out to the other room and rested his cheek on Orion's shoulder.]

The food smells good.

[He was just finishing up the plates, adding a little grated cheese to the top of them as Biffy rests on his shoulder.

There's a soft smile in his voice.]

Yea, I hope you like it.

You want anything to drink? It's mostly juice, milk, or water.

Or coffee. I can make coffee, too.

[dandyofawolf]

Water will be fine.

[He hums softly then goes to sit down so that way he's out of the way. It's far easier to cook if he's not all over Orion and he knows that.]

I suppose it's good that one of us knows how to cook. I can barely do anything in the kitchen save for simple snacks and tea.

Huh? Yea, I can cook.

[Not that the mess he was before would have suggested anything of it.

A smile from Orion as he serves a plate and water in front of Biffy.]

Don't worry, I can take care of you. You'll never go hungry with me around.

[He retreats to the kitchen for a moment to retrieve his own plate and then sets himself in the seat beside Biffy.]

That's a relief. Who knows what might have become of me otherwise.

[Though he's not that hungry, he still does take a bite of the food. Really he's impressed that it's so good and he sighs at the flavor.]

Yea, no problem.

[Orion still worries a little, over Biffy's memory. But he doesn't want to pressure it. Anything Biffy is comfortable talking about, he'll come to him. He's sure of it. Biffy's always been straightforward before.

So he'll take a bite of his own food as he thinks, trying to opt for distracting Biffy from the memory.]

You know, I was wondering - when's your birthday?

[dandyofawolf]

[The way he blinks shows that the distraction is working. A good way to get him to not think about something unpleasant is to...completely throw him off.]

My birthday? October 10th. It's still a fair distance away actually.

[Oh, wow.]

So when we first met, it was only a little after your birthday.

[He feels kind of sad that he missed it, although entirely understandable. Can't help what you didn't know.]

That's right. I'd only recently turned twenty-two.

[It's rather amazing to think about honestly.]

When is your own?

[Orion blinks. Oops.

He needs to think his questions through better. It's always weird when they get deflected back at him.

He pokes around at the food on his plate, trying to pass it off like it's no big deal.]
