[ He'll learn. Plus, it doesn't hurt to occasionally try to aspire for more than you're used to? Or something along those lines. ]

Understood. You have a better idea of who you meet on a daily or even semi-regular basis. Those would be the people who would be best suited to keep an eye on you.

But does that mean that you should not be paying attention to things out of the ordinary? Perhaps there were signs the first time, and you didn't know what they meant, and now you will be able to realize they're happening if you're paying attention.

If that happens again, then his first victim would have been you. Even if you don't have physical wounds or scars to show people for it, that doesn't mean you got away unscathed.

You would have tried, and you would have fought. Until there is better knowledge how to stop it, that's all that can be asked of you.

Besides, what happens if you do realize something is wrong and go to Biffy before it's too late and he keeps things under control this time?

They are possibilities. But not the only possibilities. And if you focus on only the worst ones, you don't get anything done.

[ And yet. It's true. ]

[ Andrew considers the question for a long moment.

Then.

I don't know. Some memories seem somewhat reminiscent of recent experiences or conversations, so if you remember something from a situation that can be recreated, to one degree or another, that might trigger further memory?
